Patients from Reigate come to Advanced Footcare Group in Dorking for specialist podiatry with a named clinician. We treat the full range of foot problems, from routine chiropody to biomechanics, heel pain and surgery, and we take the time to find and treat the real cause rather than just easing the symptom.
Reigate sits right under the North Downs, and its walking is part of daily life for a lot of people here. The pull up Reigate Hill to the viewpoint is a favourite, Priory Park and Reigate Heath get well used, and the North Downs Way runs along the top. Steady climbing works the calf and Achilles, the descents load the forefoot, and repeated laps of the park pound the heel, so plantar fasciitis, Achilles pain and forefoot ache are all common in otherwise fit people.
We assess how you stand, walk and load your feet, explain what we find clearly, and set out a plan with honest timescales. You see the same clinician each visit, so nothing falls between appointments.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
The things people in Reigate ask us most often , from booking and referrals to what to expect at your first appointment , answered by our clinicians.
Can walking the North Downs around Reigate cause foot pain?
It can. The climb up Reigate Hill works the calf and Achilles, the descents load the forefoot, and repeated park laps pound the heel and plantar fascia. We look at your walking as well as your feet, so treatment fits how you actually move.
How close is your clinic to Reigate?
We are in Dorking, a short drive west along the A25. Reigate is one of our closest towns, so appointments are easy to fit in and follow-up care is genuinely local.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a private appointment directly, without a GP referral, and be seen promptly by a named, HCPC-registered clinician.
How many appointments will I need?
It depends entirely on the problem. Some issues settle in one or two visits, others need a short course of treatment, and routine care is usually spaced several months apart. We are honest about this from the start and never book in more visits than you actually need. Because Reigate is one of our closest towns, follow-up is easy to fit around your week, and you see the same clinician each time so your care stays joined up.

Pippa saw me quickly for my initial assessment and then fitted me in to have my orthotics made in time for a long distance running event. The orthotics made a huge difference taking the pain and blisters away from my big toes. Thank you!
I have since seen Grahame who gives you confidence for any procedures that you may need. He uses new technology (ultrasound scanner) which gives an accurate diagnosis enabling him to discuss the best treatment plan with you.

I have seen Grahame Mann on a few occasions with my feet issues. Each time I have been in pain and each time he has resolved them, has made me pain free and again able to walk without any problems. He is such a very talented man with amazing skills. I will always be forever grateful for all he has done for me. I highly recommend him to anyone who suffers with foot problems. He really is the best.

After 3 years of going “ow ow ow” with every step, following a complicated fracture, and unable to sit with my foot on the floor, I was most fortunate to come across the foot pain clinic at the Medwyn Centre. They quickly diagnosed further damage from the accident that neither the surgeon who operated on the fracture nor an orthopaedics consultant I saw after the first year of pain had detected.
I was relieved to be told that the treatment would be manipulation therapy rather than more surgery. It was going to take time, and I was warned there was no guarantee of success. Six months later I am delighted to report that I am 95% pain-free and able not only to walk in a straight line but also go for walks in the woods. I am immensely grateful to Grahame and Nigel for their expert knowledge and skilful care.

My son has been seeing Mr Mann for a year and he has changed his life. After seeing him for an ingrown toenail, Mr Mann diagnosed him with split second calf, and set about treating this with exercise and orthotics. We had tried for many years for other medical professionals to see what was wrong with his feet but with no luck. My son has worked hard to correct all of this but without Mr Mann's help and guidance this wouldn't have happened. He can now start his driving lessons again. Total life changer.

Very happy with my treatment from Mr Mann. I have suffered with a connective tissue disease for many years, and in fact before I even had my diagnosis, I saw Mr Mann with regards to my bunions and he said way back in 2014 that he thought I might have EDS. This was proven to be true almost 10 years later after going back and forth to my GP with various joint and foot issues. He is very knowledgeable about EDS and has helped me immensely with sorting out various issues with my feet.
I am very grateful for my care at Advanced Footcare Group. I most likely will be a long-term patient here due to my condition, but it feels so refreshing for my EDS to be able to be understood by someone that knows all about its complexities.

I have been a patient of Grahame Mann for many years and know of his expertise. But recently I suffered a number of problems including pain in a toe and debilitating knee and back pain. His excellent diagnosis and advice of a fractured toe, new orthoses and exercises has set me on the road to health again. I am so grateful!

Mr Grahame Mann has treated me for an ingrowing toenail that was causing considerable discomfort. I came to Advanced Footcare at the Medwyn Centre because of his credentials and was not disappointed. His removal of the nail and aftercare was second to none. Extremely good value for money as cost of surgery included all aftercare appointments too. I highly recommend him if you need a chiropodist/podiatrist/surgeon.

Over 2 years ago, I saw Mr Grahame Mann to address the pain and tension resulting from my unstable gait. His analysis and prescription of custom insoles supported my whole body very well and greatly increased stability. In addition it improved my athletic performance in various endeavours because the redistribution of my centre of gravity and greater stability led to better movement throughout my body as my feet and lower limbs were put in a very slightly different, but much better alignment - to produce force and maintain balance. Many thanks to Advanced Footcare Group.
